One model explains the charms of the hook-up application on Barneys.com.
Barneys has really been pushing their online presence of late, with their latest tactic being a click-and-buy video featuring their spring wardrobe essentials. In the living look book, they've assembled an eclectic group of fashion-forward dudes who chatter about a variety of subjects--all the while sporting items available to purchase. Topics range from pick-up lines to different styles of dance, but our favorite part has to be an adorable geek-chic dude explaining what Grindr is. "OK. So Grindr is the iPhone application for gay boys," he tells the unseen crew, before adding, "It's distance-based. So it's not really about shared interests." He then pulls out his phone to reveal that the closest potential lover is 69 feet away. "So that's like this room....well it could be the other room," he says. Ah, technology. It's made shopping for clothing and sex so much easier.
