A funky neckpiece that doesn't involve tying a knot
So you're not much of a suit-and-tie guy? There's alternative ways to display you taste for neckwear and think outside the box. For instance, Vivetta's eclectic, removable collar is a sublime way to turn any ol' boring shirt from basic into fierce.
The Italian brand was launched in 2009 by designer Vivetta Ponti, who learned the ropes from the legendary Roberto Cavalli. Although she designs primarly for women, Ponti's style is bright, playful, and always intriguing -- so we're dying to try it too.
Ponti draws much of her inspiration from dolls, poetry, but also 1950s furniture, and tapestries of the '60s and '70s. Her hand collars are her signature piece, and worn over a dress shirt, or even T-shirt, it's a bold and elegant way to add some panache to your wardrobe.
Hand collar piece by Vivetta, $208, available at luisaviaroma.com. For a list of stockists, go to Vivetta.it
