If you're checking out Into the Woods tomorrow, pay attention to Frances de la Tour as the Giant in the Disney adaptation of the Sondheim musical (most know her from her equally gigantic role in the Harry Potter films). But there's plenty more of her in the Vicious Christmas special set to air on PBS the same day.
As we explained earlier this year, legendary English actors Ian McKellen and Derek Jacobi portray an octogenarian gay couple with barbed wit. Their cute (straight) neighbor Ash (played by Game of Thrones' Iwan Rheon) is always game for a bit of teasing by the older gents, along with merciless flirtation from their friend Violet (de la Tour). If you didn't catch the first season, it's a fun romp. But this Christmas special, a British TV tradition, will surely be silly fun.
Join Freddie and Stuart and Ash and Violet for a delicious -- dare we say vicious -- holiday soiree on Dec. 25 at 9:30 p.m. ET/8:30 p.m. Central
