NPH Set to Appear On AHS: Freak Show

After months of teasing and speculation, it has been confirmed that Neil Patrick Harris is joining American Horror Story: Freak Show for two episodes at the end of the season.

The actor first sparked a frenzy of excitement when he tweeted that he wanted to be on the show. Creator Ryan Murphy jumped at the chance to have him though both parties had been mum on the possibility actually becoming a reality.

His husband David Burtka for the mini-arc will join Harris. According to TVLine, Harris will appear first as a salesman -- a part said to play into the actor's love of magic -- and Burtka will follow with an appearance in the season finale.

The addition of Burtka comes as a surprise following Harris' remarks about appearing as a couple on the show. The two turned down AHS season one after due to the nature of the part.
