Everyone's favorite funk soul brother has announced the release of his 33rd studio album, Art Official Age, and another album, PlectrumElectrum, with his new band, 3rdEyeGirl, both dropping at the end of September on Warner Brothers Records. A long feud with the label ended after Warner Brothers gave him back the master recordings of his early albums, including 1999, Purple Rain, and Sign 'O' the Times. In a press release, the new solo album was described as "a contemporary concoction of soul, R&B and funk."
