Wearing only underwear and clutching a basketball, singer Jim Newman takes the stage with the Skivvies at 54 Below to sing a medley about balls. "Let's just stop, take a second and take it in," Newman says pointing to his crotch before ripping into a mashup of AC/DC, Miley Cyrus and Skee Lo.
Laughs aside, there's plenty to admire about the singer. Newman is a current member of the Village People -- the Cowboy to be exact -- in the long-running, ever-rotating line up of singers that currently includes Ray Simpson (Cop), Felipe Rose (Native American), Alex Briley (G.I./Sailor), Bill Whitefield (Construction Worker), and Eric Anzalone (Biker).
