We knew that Patti LuPone was a fan of Bridget Everett--she's been quoted as saying, "Now there's a girl with great talent...She's got guts. She's fearless. That girl's got guts"--and we know why. The bawdy lady can sing. But this past week, February 12, Everett was joined on stage by LuPone to sing a version of "Under Pressure" for her gig. We had just been watching the clip of Annie Lennox and David Bowie singing the song at the April 1992 Freddie Mercury Tribute, and then THIS!
We know what you're thinking, and we don't know why she's wearing that crazy get up either. But if you ever saw At Least It's Pink, you'd understand she's marches to beat of her own drum.
Want more Bridget Everett? She'll return to Joe's Pub March 20.
