We were already awfully fond of Ssion, the totally addictive dance punk project fronted by Cody Critcheloe--and now, thanks to his just released "My Love Grows In The Dark" video, we becoming super fans.
The song comes off of Critcheloe's forthcoming album, Bent, a re-release of his EP of the same name with new and more songs. And the video. Oh, the video. Critcheloe himself directed the piece, which features his usual coterie of queers, queens, and weirdoes.
"The song was written about a sex club," Critchloe wrote about the track, "everything is completely dark, you have to feel your way around. No one really sees me in the video, and if they do they're indifferent. I walk through this house where everyone is completely self-obsessed. This video will be part of a larger narrative of videos for the album Bent."
The full album won't be out until the summer, but for now blasting "My Love" on repeat should be more than enough.
