Whether or not you're traveling to Austin, Tex. for the South By Southwest festivals (there's music, film, and tech, folks), keeping an eye on what's making waves down in the weirdest town in Texas is important--after all, it's where next year's biggest bands, movies and apps are being unleashed on drunken hordes of tastemakers.
One film we think you'll be hearing more about? Jonathan Lisecki's Gayby. The film follows adorable gay comic book writer Matt as he goes though the trials and tribulations that all young gay dudes in New York City do--namely, trying to knock up his best girlfriend. Sure, there are shades of that classic Madonna-Rupert Everett gem The Next Best Thing, but judging by the trailer, below, the movie's smart, funny and not too difficult to look at. Fingers crossed that it moves quickly from Texas to a theater near us.
