Justin Timberlake, Rocket Man?
The Friends With Benefits actor has apparently made quite an impression on Elton John--the singer just told the Los Angeles Times that Timberlake is "number one on my wish list" to play him in an upcoming biopic.
John, whose nominated for a Grammy Award for a collaboration with Lady Gaga, said that a movie about his life is "very much in the works."
"We're making an announcement about that very, very soon. We have a director on board, and then it's just going to be a matter of getting the script exactly the way we want it," he said. "Lee Hall has written a script--he wrote Billy Elliot--and then we'll start trying to cast and plan."
And consider this soon-to-be movie is about the famously over-the-top John, it's not going to be just any bio.
"It's going to be a surreal look at my life, and not just a factual look at my life more in the manner of a Moulin Rouge," the singer proclaimed. "I just don't want it to be a normal biopic because my life hasn't been like that. And it only goes up to when I go into rehab in 1990. It starts with me going into rehab and ends when I come out."
Timberlake isn't such a far-fetched idea to play John. After all, as Rolling Stone pointed out, he's already played the English superstar once before: in a video for "This Train Don't Stop There Anymore."
