This just in: the New York City one bedroom apartment which once housed Lady Gaga can be yours, for the measly price of $1,850 a month. And if you really want to go at it the way Gaga did, you should have your dad help with the rent, too.
New York real estate company Citi Habitats posted the listing for the Lower East Side abode, and didn't hesitate to play up the previous residency of the previous Stefani Joanne Angelia Germanotta. It looks just how you'd expect a one bedroom in Lower Manhattan that belonged to a fledgling artist to look: like a trailer with wood-paneled French doors (and matching kitchen cabinets), a shower with plastic tiles, neon walls and a miniature television.
Regarding the apartment, Gaga is quoted as saying, "I wanted to live alone--live in solitude with my music. I wanted to read poetry and be overly dramatic about everything and that's what I did." No, really. She said that.
Our prediction: a moody young gay child of the Bowery will rent it, paint it black, and live there (with the help of his parents of course) until he turns it into a Gaga museum and moves to Dumbo.
