Nathan Lane Gets New Sitcom

In a case of art (kind of) imitating life, the USA cable network is producing a yet-untitled comedy half-hour starring Nathan Lane.

The Hollywood Reporter reports the TV project, "previously known as On We Go, is a half-hour single-camera comedy about an unlucky actor whose Broadway dreams are put on hold when he returns to Texas when his father's health takes a turn for the worse. Two-time Emmy winner Lane is in negotiations to star in the project and will serve as an executive producer, along with [Douglas] McGrath."

Additionally, USA will start airing repeats of Modern Family beginning in fall 2013. Lane has a reoccurring guest role on that series as the queeny pal to gay couple Cameron and Mitchell.
