Women's fashion week(s) continues to soldier on, with editors and buyers touching down in their final destination today -- gay Paris. Having just fled Milan -- critics and other cognoscenti have just seen Prada, Jil Sander, Armani, Dolce & Gabbana, and Salvatore Ferragamo, to name a few. Interestingly, though, New York Times fashion critic Cathy Horyn posted a succinct but interesting observation on the Dolce and Gabbana collection using the illustration above. She noted that the duo's spring showing (far right) sure is reminiscent of Prada's spring 2011 collection featuring banana prints (far left) and Stella McCartney's fruity frocks from the same season (middle). Just a case of going overboard with inspiration? What do you think?
