On the first night of spring 2012 fashion week -- September 8th, less than a month away -- the island of Manhattan will celebrate America's favorite pastime: spending money we don't have on things we don't need. As the date comes ever closer and the anticipation continues to build, details are finally starting to leak. From celebrity guests to designer-hosted fetes, the city will be alive, with the sound of cash registers raking in dough and tourists mixing and mingling with the industry's elite.
