When Hedi Slimane debuted his razor-sharp, super-skinny suits for Dior Homme in the early aughts, the entire fashion industry followed suit. Before you knew it, everyone was sporting leaner clothing, making sure to emphasis their slender bodies. Karl Lagerfeld infamously lost nearly 100 pounds so that he could squeeze into Hedi's new silhouette. But, as is the case, the pendulum has swung in a new direction and this season the men's shows in Milan featured a looser -- sometimes downright baggy -- shape, especially on the bottom. This more relaxed, voluminous shape may not seem flattering, but it was seen last season, too, so it's likely that this fresh perspective will eventually trickle down to the masses. Whatever the designers dictate don't necessarily become the norm overnight, but we'd put money on the fact that you'll be seeing a looser fitting pant in the future.
