Leading ladies in the world of music are currently being honored at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The special exhibition Women Who Rock: Vision, Passion, Poweris an event that illustrates the important roles women have played in music history.
The most recent edition to the interactive showcase is the one and only Lady Gaga meat dress, which we all remember from the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards. You may be thinking "Surely that dress has perished by now?" But no, instead it has been dried out and soaked in lots of chemicals so it could be preserved for this very exhibit.
Lady Gaga's meat dress will join a section of the display entitled "90's and the New Millenium" which shows that women's voices have arguably become the leading voices of the industry today. Other ladies who are in the spotlight throughout the exhibit include Madonna (how could she not be?), Britney Spears (Oh baby, baby), Cyndi Lauper, Joan Jet and the Runaways, Tina Turner, Aretha Franklin, Jonie Mitchell and many, many more.
The exhibition will be rocking out in Cleveland until February 26, 2012, so get your asses down there to commemorate these women's achievements.
