Why: Because Opening Ceremony is like the popular girl in high school: super cool with all the right friends, within your reach but also strangely unattainable. The downtown boutique (now with a satellite store at the trendy Ace Hotel) has been on board since the beginning with trendy labels like Proenza Schouler, Band of Outsiders, Rachel Comey, Alexander Wang and Patrik Ervell. But being trendy comes at a steep price, as anyone who has shopped the store knows.
