The 2011 Grammys

Bruno Mars and B.o.B did little for us (and broadcasting the first part of their bit in black and white came off as hokey instead of charming or nostalgic or whatever else they were going for), but Janelle Monae proved, once again, that she's one of the most intriguing and talented artists currently making -- and performing -- music today.

The always solid Rihanna showed up twice, once to perform "Love the Way You Lie (Part Two)" with Eminem and then she whipped out "What's My Name?" with Drake.

Lady Antebellum won a slew of awards and our only response to that is hasn't that (dreadful) song been out for like 12 years already?

Lastly, no, we don't know who Best New Artist winner Esperanza Spalding is either but you go girl. We also love the fact that Bieber's fans were so pissed off that she beat the 16-year-old singer that they waged war on Spalding's Wikipedia page. Beware the wrath of tweens done wrong!
