While we love ourselves some Cathy Horyn and her pointed, fanciful and sometimes just plain nutty reviews and observations, she's not the only fashion critic around to make a splash. Robin Givhan, the fashion critic of The Wall Street Journal, is a powerful force as well. In fact, she's the only person to have been awarded a Pulitzer for criticism of fashion, and has spent the past two years in Washington DC so she can follow Michelle Obama and her fashion influence more closely. Not too shabby eh? Well, the news broke this morning that Givhan will be leaving her post at the WSJ, where she has been for a dozen years, to work for Tina Brown at Newsweek as a special correspondent for style and culture. She will remain in DC for now, but it's still unclear as to how her focus and coverage will change, if at all, for the higher-ups at Newsweek. Only time will tell, we suppose.
