Quotables: Alber Elbaz's Charming Sound Bytes

With Lanvin x H&M's collaboration pictures setting the internet ablaze yesterday, there is no shortage of Lanvin-mania, nor on praise for its affable creative director Alber Elbaz. Yesterday, we stumbled upon this article from ThreadNY which featured some interesting facts about the designer. We found ourselves absolutely charmed by the quotes they found, and realized, Elbaz is fashion fanatic's dream! We found ourselves loving him more than usual. Below are some of the highlights:

After considering a career in the medical field, Elbaz (luckily) chose fashion: "A doctor will give you a Tylenol. I will give you a beautiful red coat, and you will feel as good with Tylenol as with the red coat."

After critics questioned his showing his SS2011 collection with flat sandals as opposed to towering heels, he retorted, "Damn it with image. If you don't feel good in something, you don't look good with it."

Elbaz also keeps his energies focused solely on his customer, and not on the editors and reviewers sitting front row: "Editors can hate me; women--no."
