Out's 2010 Holiday Gift Guide

While the sight of Santa Clauses dancing into store windows before Halloween is even here and "One Time Only!" Black Friday sales that happen 45 times in the three weeks before Black Friday usually have us exasperatedly raising a fist in the air and cursing the gods of capitalism for inflicting their good cheer (aka ploys to get us to spend our paychecks as early and often as possible) upon us before we're ready for it, we understand that some people want to get their holiday shopping out of the way sooner rather than later.

For those of you who feel that way, we present our 2010 Holiday Gift Guide a little early this year. We've picked some of our favorite items (gifts we'd want to receive ourselves) and bundled them into nine different categories -- from "Edibles" like Jeni's ice cream and Espolon tequila to "Gadgets" like the Blackberry Torch and the new iPod nano.

We'll be adding more goodies as the weeks roll on, but why wait? The holidays will be here before you know it and you don't want to be standing there empty handed when they arrive. With a range of prices and something for everyone -- even Fido -- you can get your holiday shopping done early and spend your time on other things -- like mastering Martha Stewart's "Perfect Roast Turkey."
