Club Monaco Ups Their Cool Factor

While part of our job entails that we look at fancy, expensive clothing all day long, the irony is that we can't afford most of it. One place, though, that always has been able to balance classic wardrobe staples and on-point trendiness (without feeling like a slave to it) has been Club Monaco, and its right within our price range. While Club Monaco masterfully flies under the radar, the brand still produces some of the best pieces season to season, and you know it's not likely that you'll be caught wearing the same thing as everyone else at your next holiday party.

This winter, they've asked some of their favorite New York City tastemakers to pose for their men's and women's look books. The result is lends a hefty hand of cool credibility to the brand and produces some terrific pictures that more than sell the clothing. The boys especially are styled to utter perfection with their Nordic prints thermal pants and comfy, functional wool blazers. While the whole thing has a bit of a J. Crew flourish to it, its considerably lighter and less reliant on the ever-popular heritage trend that has been sweeping the menswear world these days. We also dig how they avoid hitting up the typical round of 'fashion-y' faces for advice, and discover attractive arbiters of style that we've not yet heard of.
