Opening Ceremony ACT's UP

Downtown retail mecca Opening Ceremony is mostly known for it's dedication to keeping its shelves stocked with the trendiest, and priciest, designer duds in town. With it's newest outpost at the hip Ace Hotel, and a recent expansion of its Soho digs, it's obvious that the boutique isn't feeling the pinch from the recession. It's also nice to know that the shop is keeping an eye out for their gay contingency. The emporium recently partnered up with ACT UP (AIDS Coalition to Unleash Power) on a special capsule line of t-shirts featuring designs pulled from the archives of activist and art collective Gran Fury. Launched on Fashion's Night Out, the shirts go for $50 and a portion of the proceeds go directly to ACT UP. It's nice to know the cool kids haven't gotten too big to help their 'mo's fight the good fight.
