What I Did Today: Dior, Zenga, Cavalli, et plus

12:00pm - Dior Spring/Summer 2010 re-see appointment

Loving all the sheerness at Dior Homme. The hipster boys were loving a sheer tank in Summer 2009, but this is a full blown trend. I have seen some light, drape-y, sheer EVERYWHERE.

Midway through my appointment with the delovely Dylan at Dior, I remembered that I needed to pull pieces for our front of book style page "Live the Life." A little teaser: our December/January issue's style icon may or may not be Freddie Mercury. And I think this Dior Homme archive number could really do the trick. She is a whopping $13,000 and sooo heavy!!!

12:45pm - Zegna Spring/Summer 2010 re-see appointment

Z Zegna for Spring/Summer is all about a street dandy. The black and white shoes are so full-on. A bit costume-y, but I cannot wait to get them in a shoot! And the woven top hats are clearly drawing inspiration from the Mad Hatter and I adore Alice in Wonderland style references.

This watermelon color cashmere, cotton, silk pique blazer is also delicious.

4:30pm

Back at the office and my Freddie Mercury pieces are starting to arrive. First knockout, drop dead, beyond: an out-of-this-world leather motorcycle jacket from Roberto Cavalli with candy-colored embellishments. I just had to give her a whirl in the fashion closet.

5:15pm

The heavenly Melissa Duren at HL Group sent me the TOMS lace-up shoes for Fall 2009 in a waxed canvas. They are more multiseason appropriate and so cute with socks. I just couldn't wait, I had to put them on stat.
