Marc Jacobs Pays His Taxes; Wants Gay Marriage Rights

We've heard it all -- the cries, anger and frustration of gays, barred in 44 states from the magical (hopefully) once in a lifetime ceremony hetero couples enjoy in all 50. With highbrow gay designers in abundance, it's about time someone came through with the political T-shirt. On Wednesday, Marc by Marc Jacobs Special Items store at 385 Bleecker Street was stocked with limited edition, "I pay my taxes I want my RIGHTS" scrawled shirts (why a version with two gay men and child are absent is beyond me). The shirts are $24 a pop and roughly 150 shirts of each size (S, M, L) remain at the Bleeker St. Special Items boutique.
