Are you enjoying RuPaul’s Drag Race off-season, the one magical week between All Stars 4 and season 11? Soak it up, hennies, because a whole new crop of queens are storming VH1 next Thursday, and with them comes a sickening lineup of celebrity guest judges including the previously announced Miley Cyrus, who will appear in the season premiere next Thursday, February 28.
Joining Cyrus is an all-star assortment of celebrities including twink icon Troye Sivan, writer-actress Lena Waithe, actor Joel McHale, bisexual model Cara Delevingne, former Saturday Night Live cast member Bobby Moynihan, Real Housewives of Atlanta’s Kandi Burruss, Jane the Virgin’s Gina Rodriguez, actress Sydelle Noel, comedian Wanda Sykes, pop culture icon Elvira, actor Guillermo Diaz, Olympic figure skaters Adam Rippon and Mirai Nagasu, choreographer Travis Wall, model Amber Valetta, Veep star Tony Hale, 90s icon Clea Duvall, lesbian comedian Fortune Feimster, gay actor Cheyenne Jackson, 13 Reasons Why star Katherine Langford, and Russian Doll’s Natasha Lyonne. And if that weren’t enough, Rachel Maddow will “treat the queens to a special guest appearance,” according to a VH1 press release.
But girl...are you ready for it? Tiffany “New York” Pollard will also appear as a guest judge on this season of Drag Race. It took me a second to write that sentence out because I was gasping for air. Are we going to get a Drag Race version of I Love New York or Flavor of Love? Please Ru, my children are starving!
In January, the show’s new cast of queens was revealed in a YouTube livestream starring Adam Rippon and season 10 winner Aquaria (who later criticized the poor production value). The 15 competing queens include season 10 standout Vanessa Vanjie Mateo.
