Will Drag Race take home the award for Outstanding Reality Competition Program?

On Monday, the 70th annual Emmy Awards will celebrate the best of television and Modern Family. This year, beloved and buzzy shows like The Handmaid's Tale, The Americans, Atlanta, The Crown, Stranger Things, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and Game of Thrones reaped the most nominations, but who will take home the prize in the top categories? Here are a few of our gay Emmy predictions.

Outstanding Drama Series

The Nominees:Game of Thrones, Stranger Things, The Americans, The Crown, The Handmaid's Tale, This Is Us, Westworld.
And the winner is... The Handmaid's Tale. Game of Thrones and Stranger Things had shaky seasons, Westworld is a bit too conceptual for Emmy voters and while The Americans final season was much-lauded, it's never captured Emmy interest. Despite audiences starting to become a bit exhausted by Handmaid's brand of oppression porn, it's the obvious choice, especially in the wake of #MeToo.

Outstanding Comedy Series

The Nominees:Atlanta, Barry, Black-ish, GLOW, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Silicon Valley, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.
And the winner is... The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. Emmy voters love a period piece, and this one is both bitingly funny and filled with moments of drama, which the Academy has come to expect more and more from comedies in recent years. GLOW would be a serious contender if we were looking at it's second season rather than its first, but its time will come at next year's ceremony. However, Atlanta is unlike any other comedy on television and could take the prize.

Outstanding Limited Series

The Nominees: The Alienist, The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story, Genius: Picasso, Godless, Patrick Melrose.
And the winner is... The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story. The show's trip backwards through time, unraveling the murderer behind one of pop culture's most infamous crimes, is an unusual convention, and with Pose just barely missing out on eligibility, voters may want to award one last Murphy FX show before he heads to Netflix.

Outstanding Reality Competition Series

The Nominees:The Amazing Race, American Ninja Warrior, Project Runway, RuPaul's Drag Race Top Chef, The Voice.
And the winner is... Drag Race. Duh.

The 70th annual Emmy Awards air Monday September 17 on NBC.
