Watch Ellen & Sean Hayes Get Shady About Their Gay Sitcom Impact

Sean Hayes, Ellen DeGeneres

It’s a Battle of the Gays.

The claws and cackles were out when Sean Hayes stopped by to chat with Ellen DeGeneres for an episode of her talk show. After complimenting DeGeneres for having her show be on the air for 15 years, Hayes and the host volleyed good-spirited quips back and forth until they were both in a fit of giggles.

"Will and Grace is the show that I've been on," says Hayes.

"How long now?" asks DeGeneres.

"Longer than 15," counters Hayes.

"How long was it the first time around before y'all got canceled?" DeGeneres asks bluntly.

"I think it was longer than your sitcom," Hayes mutters into his coffee mug after a hearty laugh.

"Yeah that's right, I had to come out first for y'all to do that sitcom," DeGeneres concludes.
