Someone call Uma Thurman!

Holy lesbians, Batman! The DC Cinematic Universe might be getting a taste of gay sooner than we thought -- which isn't saying much, because we thought it was gonna be straight forever. Margot Robbie revealed in a new interview she wants her fan favorite character, Harley Quinn, to play out an infamous comics romance on the big screen and we agree, honey!

Last year, DC confirmed that in Injustice video games, Quinn and legendary Batman villain Poison Ivy became wife and wife. While they didn't include which Pottery Barn they're registered at, queer fans were happy to get acknowledgement that the baddies had cemented their longtime love affair. In 2015, the two were shown in a heated kiss on the cover of a Harley Quinn comic.

Margot Robbie, who played Quinn in 2016's messy Suicide Squad and will return in the upcoming Birds of Prey (subtitled And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn, whew!) wants her character's comic book lover to appear in the film.

"If you read the comics you know that Poison Ivy and Harley have an intimate relationship. In some comics they convey it as a friendship, in other comics you can see that they're actually sexually involved as a couple," Robbie told Pridesource. "I would love to have Poison Ivy thrown into the universe, because the Harley and Poison Ivy relationship is one of my favorite aspects of the comics, so I'm looking to explore that on screen."

Margot isn't sure who she'd want playing the supervillain. "You know what? I've thought about it a lot and there's no one person who springs to mind," she said. "I'm pretty open-minded."

We have some thoughts! Saoirse Ronan dons a red wig opposite Robbie in December's Mary Queen of Scots, and she's yet to make the serious actor jump to comic book movies. Or, Riverdale's Madelaine Petsch has plenty of experience playing a wickedly catty ginger. Isla Fisher? Emma Stone? Christina Hendricks? The possibilities are endless.
