Grant Gibbs and Ashley Gill, the viral duo known as A Twink and Redhead, create the raunchiest and wildest content that's miraculously taking over everyone's algorithms.
From singing about getting stuffed at Panera to hooking up in the shelves at Barnes & Noble, the pair has no problem incorporating the most obscene lyrics in their catchy songs. Some of the themes that they've covered include cruising, every type of sexual position, and even the ridiculousness of heterosexuality.
"I have no filter! I've never had a filter. I used to always get in trouble in school because of that, but I do always mean well. I am genuinely saying what's on my mind or standing up for something that is unjust," Gibbs tells Out.
"Corporations were very quiet this Pride and they're lowkey bending the knee to this current administration. It's more important that comedians keep that unfiltered energy," Gill adds.
With millions of views across their hilarious social media platforms, the childhood besties are now taking their talents across the United States by performing a slew of shows through Halloween.
A Twink and a Redhead: A Musical Comedy features the two as they sing their hit songs that are all about exploring their sexualities, creating a strong bond as young adults, and poking fun at anyone who takes life too seriously.
"I didn't expect there to be such community at our shows. Meeting people in Texas was crazy, because you can tell they're starving for a space where they can just be themselves and queer. The lyrics are crazy, but you can't help but sing along. We might be showing a little skin," Gibbs says.
"When we perform Panera, it's an out-of-body experience. There are people singing about getting fucked in a Panera! It'll stop you in your tracks for a second. Our songs are so sex positive! We get down and dirty with it. There have been a few times where I'm about to flash someone, so I have to really make sure everything is snatched in there," Gill adds.
Although the duo tackles very adult themes in their music, both Gibbs and Gill use their comedic platform to call out hypocrisy and the performative outrage happening in the current hostile political climate.
"As a woman, I've actually learned a lot about sex-positivity from my gay friends. In the LGBTQ+ community, people are outspoken. Once you're out, it's not so shameful to have this level of sexuality. For women, it's engrained that it's vulgar or crude. By having so many gay friends, I've erased that idea from my mind. You don't have to be ashamed for getting your cock sucked, God forbid," Gill says.
"We do have a superpower where we know how to say so much behind comedy. We'll show you how your views are outdated and not acceptable. We're all laughing together! I convinced myself that I would have to wait to come out until college. Queer people internalize so much and it might not even be the truth," Gibbs concludes.
