Actress Sophia Bush and professional soccer star Ashlyn Harris have tied the knot!
This is the first time the public is hearing about it, but Bush and Harris have actually been wife and wife for more than a year.
In her new memoir, And I Will Tell You Mine: Notes from a Life in Progress, Bush admits they got married during the summer of 2025 in a private ceremony with Harrisās children, Sloane and Ocean, in attendance.
In an exclusive new interview with Vogue, Bush opened up about choosing to keep the event secret from fans because of how public their lives have been for years.
āWhen you get to this stage in your life, you begin to unpack whatās yours and whatās always sort of been for everyone else,ā she said.
Bush also said that fame is a āprivilege,ā but that it also "comes with certain costs.ā
The couple said they kept things low-key so they could focus on their family instead of an elaborate celebration.
āThe kids were just running and happy, and we picked flowers from the property and our daughter Sloane was holding them,ā Harris said. āIt was so fun for them, because it wasnāt this pressure-filled day thatās too much for young kids.ā
They even ended the night by roasting marshmallows with their family instead of partying the night away with hundreds of people.
āIt was so precious, and zero pressure,ā she said. āI will never forget it, and I think wedding days sometimes arenāt like that.ā
Once they tied the knot, the newlyweds didnāt make a public announcement, instead they traveled across the country telling their friends and family in person. The pair decided it was finally time to tell their fans after their loved ones all knew, and because Bush said she was tired of calling Harris her āpartnerā instead of her āwife.ā
āYouāre not my partner, you know? Youāre my wife,ā Bush told Harris during the joint interview. āAnd it feels so amazing to say that.ā
