We’re not crying, you are!

Gotta love Luke Macfarlane!

The Bros heartthrob announced that he’ll be running the New York City Marathon on November 5, 2023 for a very special reason connected to his partner, Hig Roberts, with whom he had a daughter earlier this year.

Macfarlane wrote on his Funraise.org page:

“I am running the New York City Marathon Nov. 5th with my Partner Hig and his twin sister Cassady. Seven years ago, Hig and Cassady lost their little brother Murph due to complications from Type 1 diabetes. I never got the chance to meet Murphy, but loving Hig and the Roberts family, I feel like I have got to know a bit about their remarkable brother and son. We are taking this opportunity to remember Murph loudly and keep his memory focused in our hearts.”

The Bros star continued:

Beyond Type 1 is a nonprofit organization changing what it means to live with diabetes. They unite the global diabetes community and provide solutions to improve lives today. Murphy knew this organization when he was alive, and we know he would support it now. Please help me support Beyond Type 1 by making a donation through my page.”

Macfarlane’s goal is set to $10,000. As of this writing, the actor has already raised $8,190 from 68 donors.

We love this story and are sending our best wishes to Luke Macfarlane and Hig Roberts for the New York City Marathon!
