Jorginho Frello is setting the record straight.

Last month, the professional soccer player went on a social media rant accusing Chappell Roan of sending her security to scold his wife and daughter at a hotel during Lollapalooza Brazil.

Roan denied the claims, saying "I didn’t even see a woman and a child. No one came up to me. No one bothered me. I was just sitting at breakfast in my hotel."

Soon after, the security guard who confronted Frello's family confirmed that he was not representing Roan during the altercation and that "the outcome of the encounter is regretful."

What has Jorginho Frello said about Chappell Roan now?

Now, Frello is explaining his social media tirade more clearly and admitting that "it was, ultimately, a misunderstanding in that respect [and that] it's important that this is clarified fairly and accurately."

The soccer player went on to defend his initial emotional outburst as his wife and daughter were legitimately confronted at the hotel by the security guard, but he regrets taking aim at Roan in his post.

"Roan made a public statement, reached out privately to Catherine, and our teams spoke directly. It became clear that she had no knowledge of what took place at breakfast and had not asked anyone to approach them. She was understanding and sympathetic to what had happened to our child."

Frello ended his note by asking that any hate or backlash sent to any involved parties would cease and "the matter is closed."
