Watching new Damian actor Jaquel Spivey meet and hug OG Damian actor Daniel Franzese made our year!

New and former Mean Girls stars reunited at the premiere of the new musical reboot, and the results were so fetch!

Jaquel Spivey, who plays Damian Hubbard in the upcoming musical remake of the beloved teen comedy, had an adorable red-carpet moment with Daniel Franzese, who originated the role in the 2004 film, and our queer hearts might just burst!

The two out actors, who have now both played the ICONIC gay role, ignored questions being lobbed at them as they hugged and then talked as they sweetly held hands and touched each other on the chest. When they finally ended their chat, Spivey said "Sorry!" to the journalists and photographers present as he looked overwhelmed by the moment's emotion.

The two men looked sharp at the event; Spivey was dressed in a black turtleneck and long purple coat with matching pants while Franzese was sporting a black shirt and silver motorcycle jacket combo.

"Honestly, it really is a dream come true. That's all I can keep saying, it's a dream come true," Spivey told The Hollywood Reporter when asked what it is like to have people finally seeing his film.

Fans were overjoyed to see the pair embracing, with one person writing on X (formerly Twitter), "They're basically twins. Iconic."

"This is why representation is so important," another fan posted. "All of us want to be seen and accepted for who we are."

"Passing the torch we love to see it," someone else wrote.

Much like the original 2024's Mean Girls follows Cady Heron (played by Angourie Rice), who switches to a new high school after growing up in Africa and runs into a group of popular girls called "the Plastics," lead by Regina George (played by Reneé Rapp). The upcoming film also stars Auliʻi Cravalho as Janis, Bebe Wood as Gretchen Wieners, Avantika Vandanapu as Karen, Christopher Briney as Aaron Samuels, and Busy Philipps as Mrs. George. Tina Fey and Tim Meadows are reprising their roles as Ms. Norbury and Principal Duvall.

OG Mean Girls stars Lindsay Lohan (Cady Heron), Rajiv Surendra (Kevin G), and Wai Choy (Mathlete Tim Pak) were all spotted on the red carpet alongside Franzese.

The 2024 Mean Girls opens only in theaters on January 12.
