Cara Delevingne is Playboy’s first out lesbian print cover star.
Appearing nude in a full pictorial photographed by Zoey Grossman, with a profile written by My Year of Rest and Relaxation author Ottessa Moshfegh, Delevingne is also making history as the first supermodel to wear the Bunny Suit on a Playboy cover since Kate Mass in 2014.
“I’ve been naked before in shoots, in movies. But it always made me feel a bit gross when it was for someone else — of course, it was my choice and I agreed to it, but it never felt empowering,” Delevingne told the lifestyle magazine in a press release. “I didn’t feel great after it. But today I had so much fun. I’ve never felt more comfortable in my body and in my sexuality. I feel like I’m in more of my prime as a woman and as a sexual being.”

In the profile, Delevingne opens up about her relationship with Minke, her girlfriend since 2022, calling the musician a “normie” and “the most incredible person.”
“We’re best friends, obviously, lovers, and everything else, but I’ve never had a relationship like it and felt so close to someone and felt so seen,” Delevingne said.
After previously identifying as pansexual, Delevingne announced she was a lesbian in May of this year in a completely iconic way: by whispering it — while mic’d up, of course — to Rosalía in the singer’s confessional booth on her LUX World Tour. “If you don’t know this already, I’m a lesbian, and my weakness used to be straight women,” Delevinge told Rosalía. “Because they weren’t really straight. I don’t think anyone’s really straight. That’s the point.”
While Delevingne is the first out lesbian to appear on the print cover of Playboy, Kehlani graced the second-ever digital cover of the magazine in 2021 with a photoshoot that found her dressing in both masculine and feminine styles. Kehlani identifies as a lesbian, and spoke in 2024 about coming to that realization.
“I was always bi before I identified as, like, as a lesbian,” she said in a podcast interview. “And then one day I was like, ‘Wow, why do my brain break at boys?'”
Delevingne’s full cover story and pictorial are only available to Playboy subscribers.
