Series 3 winner of The Great British Bake Off, John Whaite, announced on Instagram yesterday that he is stepping away from his OnlyFans career to focus on opening up his own bakery. In the heartfelt post, the 36-year-old, who lives in Leeds with his husband, thanked his fans for their support as he begins this transitional period in his life.

"I'm leaving OnlyFans," Whaite began the caption. "Life has shifted in a way I couldn't have predicted — Ruff Puff Bakehouse and Ruff Puff Brownies have taken up so much of my time, but in the best possible way."

Back in April, Whaite opened up the brick-and-mortar store Ruff Puff Bakehouse for his homemade brownies and blondies, which were originally sold through a mail-order business that he launched in 2024. Based on his post, the business has grown so much that he wants to put all of his focus on making it the best it can be.

"They've reminded me of a talent I'd neglected, and given me a new respect for the craft that first set me on this path all those years ago," Whaite continued. "Working side by side with the team, creating something real and lasting, has shown me that my value isn't in muscles or body image — it's in building, baking, and sharing. For the first time since Bake Off 13 years ago, I feel a true sense of purpose again."

The former reality competition contestant wrapped up his post by celebrating the start of a new chapter "rooted in passion, creativity, and community" and expressing gratitude for the support he's found on OnlyFans, while also wishing his peers success. Then, referring to his now-retired persona, he added, "I'm not Jonny Boy, I'm just John, and I'm putting one foot in front of the other just like the rest of the world."
