Ashlee Simpson praises her passionate LGBTQ+ fans following The Masked Singer win

The singer is even teasing her upcoming performance at Outloud Music Festival in West Hollywood.

Galaxy Girl has come out on top!

After beating out top talent such as Fifth Harmony's Normani, Tiffany Haddish, and Taraji P. Henson, Ashlee Simpson is officially the crowned winner of The Masked Singer season 14.

Since the age of 15, Simpson has entertained audiences with a slew of hit songs, including "Pieces of Me," "La La," "Boyfriend," and "L.O.V.E.," along with her notable roles in film and television. By winning The Masked Singer, the star has combined all of her passions into one successful show.

"Honestly, it was the most exciting moment. It was something I definitely didn't expect. I've loved everything I've done in my career, and this was so much fun, to hide under this mask," Simpson tells Out.

Following her win, Simpson is hitting the ground running by performing at some major festivals this year, including Outloud at West Hollywood Pride this June. The singer is grateful to have such incredible support from her queer fans during every era of her career.

"I can't wait! Last year, I went and it was the best time. I can't wait to perform this year! [The LGBTQ+ community] is my strongest fanbase and it is the best. Seeing everyone when they were younger to seeing them now out and proud [is amazing]. I think a lot of my music was about discovering yourself at that time!"

Pride couldn't come at a better time as anti-LGBTQ+ legislation continues to progress across the United States. Simpson plans to bring plenty of love to her upcoming set surrounded by her queer peers.

"There's no better feeling. It's their moment to shine! We all grew up together. This is your moment, let it go! They give me all the energy I need. Tune everything out. Focus on the happiness. Focus on what is good and what is positive. Laugh. Breathe. Everything is going to be okay!"
