Yo, Adrian!
Rocky is considered one of the most iconic films of all time. The movie secured the Academy Award for Best Picture and shot Sylvester Stallone to superstardom as the franchise went on to earn over 1 billion dollars. Hailed as one of the best underdog stories ever, Rocky's journey to winning the World Heavyweight Championship has inspired audiences everywhere.
Now, fans will get an exciting look as to how the legendary movie came to life in a brand new biopic called I Play Rocky. Prior to Rocky becoming a global phenomenon, Stallone was a struggling actor who wrote the script in just three and a half days. At first, studio executives loved the screenplay, but they wanted to cast another leading man in the titular role. Despite a $10 million buyout on the table, Stallone insisted that he was the man who should play Rocky, which ended up changing the entire course of his life.
Anthony Ippolito was cast as the leading role in I Play Rocky and new pics of the actor are starting to emerge on social media. The actor is already known for his role as Al Pacino on the Paramount+ miniseries The Offer, along with portraying George Wright in the Netflix drama series Grand Army. By landing the starring role of Stallone in I Play Rocky, the star will be introduced to a passionate new fanbase that grew up watching the Rocky movies.
Ippolito's resemblance to Stallone is already rave reviews from critics as they praise his incredible muscle transformation for the part. Naturally, fans on social media are also loving the new pics showing off Ippolito's biceps, so check out trailer for I Play Rocky and the viral photos below.
I Play Rocky hits theaters on November, 13, 2026.
