After coming out and announcing her relationship with girlfriend Ramona Agruma in June, Rebel Wilson has spoken out about what it was like being forced to come out before she was ready.
Wilson spoke with The Australian about her experience being outed after she came out in June when the Sydney Morning Herald let her know that it was going to publish a story about her relationship.
"I just thought it was kind of grubby behavior," Wilson told The Australian. "Basically, with the situation, where a journalist is threatening to out you, you've got to hurry, and some people we didn't get a chance to tell before it came out publicly. And that's not ideal."
"There are levels to telling people," she continued. "You tell your close family and your friends and not everybody. Across our two families, not everybody is as accepting as what you'd hope for, and we were trying to be respectful to those people and tell them in our own way."
"It was just a hard few days, especially for my partner, who's not used to being in the public eye and having to deal with stuff like that," Wilson revealed.
Wilson is also sparking rumors about a potential engagement with her girlfriend, sporting a large diamond ring on her left hand.
According to The Evening Standard, Wilson has been seen wearing a diamond ring on her left hand, most recently at the 2nd Annual Academy Museum Gala on Saturday in Los Angeles.
In pictures from the event, Wilson is wearing a black velvet Saint Laurent wrap dress with lace on the cuffs and neckline. You can also see a very conspicuous diamond ring on her ring finger.

Wilson hasn't commented on her possible engagement, and perhaps she won't after being burned by the media once before.
