Looks like someone is finding peace in this hellhole we call 2020!

In a new Instagram post actor Nicholas Ashe has written the sweetest "Happy Birthday" post to his boyfriend Justice Smith. Smith, who is also an actor, made the pair's relationship (and their sexuality) public knowledge in June. At the time, he wrote about protesting with Ashe as a part of the Black Lives Matter movement, and of the importance of making that message intersectional. He went on to call Ashe "my rock and guiding light through all of this and I love you so much." Well, Smith's birthday was the perfect time for Ashe to write a little note of his own.

"Justice, you have been the author of all my recent smiles," Ashe began the post. And what a start! "You make me feel safe. seen. heard. inspired. admired. returning the favor has been my favorite adventure. I"ve always appreciated your authenticity, and brilliance, and passion, but you have certainly outdone yourself this year. Bravo.

"It's difficult to fully encapsulate my gratitude, but here's an Instagram post to help me try," he continued. "Happy birthday, beautiful man. I love you most of all. Thank you for all this good." Thank you both honestly!!!

The post included two new photos of the pair.

Smith is currently promoting Phreaks, an Audible original audio drama that recently released. The project comprises his debut in an audio-specific format as he had never done voiceover prior.

"I was a little nervous going into Phreaks," he told Rolling Stones in their video series The First Time. "Then I kind of fell into it. I was just like, I should just act more and be a little bit more than I would be on camera and just feel it out."
