Simon and Schuster is publishing a new Ruth Bader Ginsburg book titled My Own Words in Januray 2017. In comparison to the New York Times Bestseller, The Notorious RBG, this collection will have Ginsburg's seal of approval and include writings and speeches selected by the justice herself, along with her official biographers Mary Hartnett, an adjunct professor at Georgetown Law, and Wendy W. Williams, a professor emerita at Georgetown Law.
For those that don't know, The Notorious RBG is a cheeky, feminist love letter to the Associate Justice based on the popular Tumblr account of the same name. Published in October 2015, The Notorious RBG has popularized Ginsburg like no other Supreme Court justice.
Although the much-adored Associate Justice of the Supreme Court won't be exclusively writing My Own Words, we can anticipate a collection of well-informed and inspiring speeches and writings on gender equality, being Jewish, the innerworkings of the United States Supreme Court, and of course, her interpretation of the U.S. Constitution.
My Own Words is Ginsburg's first book since her appointment to the Supreme Court by Former President Bill Clinton. She has servied on the Supreme Court since 1993.
So get ready for a dose of Ginsburg realness in 2017.
