After eight years working as a womenswear designer, New York-based illustrator Justin Teodoro had a change of heart. In 2014, the Parsons graduate decided to go freelance and began posting his sketches on social media, amassing a growing following on Instagram (12,000 followers and counting).
Thanks to his candid humor and encyclopedic knowledge of fashion (he favors the 1990s golden era of supermodels, and he's a diehard Madonna fan), Teodoro has been tapped by big industry players, including Lorenzo Martone, who hired Teodoro to create art for his luxury bike line, Martone Cycling Co.
More recently, Barneys New York invited Teodoro to conceive window designs and shopping bags for the store's Japanese branches. Next, Teodoro plans to develop his own collection of illustrated tees, with his girl Madge as the main inspiration.
