Joe Exotic's ex-husband Dillon Passage is moving up in the world!
The 25-year-old recently introduced his followers to his new boyfriend John via an Instagram post, calling him his "rock" and saying that he's helped him make it through recent hard times.
"Everyone, meet John," Passage wrote on Instagram. "I've planned on keeping my relationship private for personal reasons, but lately I've been having a hard time dealing with things happening in my life and John has been my rock and helping me get through it all."
He added: "In short, this is an appreciation post for this special, special man. Thank you for being you."
The public met Passage when he appeared in the hit Netflix docuseries Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem, and Madness last year. He was one of several young men who had married Joe Exotic and had tied the knot with him shortly before Exotic went to prison.
Passage married Joe Maldonado-Passage (a.k.a. Joe Exotic) back in December of 2017. The couple divorced this March, when Passage announced the split on Instagram.
"This wasn't an easy decision to make but Joe and I both understand that this situation isn't fair to either of us," he wrote. "It's something that neither of us were expecting but we are going to take it day by day. We are on good terms still and I hope it can stay that way. I will continue to have Joe in my life and do my best to support him while he undergoes further legal battles to better his situation."
Saturday Night Live star Kate McKinnon is currently producing a limited series for Peacock based on Joe Exotic's story. She's also starring as Carole Baskin, opposite Hedwig creator John Cameron Mitchell as Exotic himself.
The cast also includes Kyle MacLachlan as Howard Baskin, Brian Van Holt as John Reinke, Sam Keeley as John Finlay, William Fichtner as Rick Kirkham, and Natt Wolff as Travis Maldonado. Nonbinary actor Lex Mayson was recently cast as fan-favorite zoo staff member Saff.
