She made the announcement while promoting a protest for LGBTQ+ folks to support Black Lives Matter.
Today, 23-year-old Riverdale star Lili Reinhart has come out as bisexual.
Currently, in California, Reinhart has been posting about the various protests and the importance of standing with the Black community, reaffirming that Black Lives Matter. As a part of that, today she posted a flier to her Instagram Stories in order to raise awareness for an upcoming protest. Hosted at Saint Monica and Lacienaga, the West Hollywood protest is specifically for the LGBTQ+ community to show that they are allies to the movement.
"Although I've never announced it publicly before, I am a proud bisexual woman," Reinhart wrote under the flier. "And I will be joining this protest today. Come join."
The protest occurred at noon PST. After gathering, all assembled planned to walk to Robertson Boulevard. Attendees were encouraged to wear masks, not block traffic, and not break curfew. The Los Angeles Police Department has been arresting all out after the city-wide curfew, regardless of the reason.
"Signs of love and support are highly encouraged," the flier read. "We stand with you."
The text was overlayed with a symbol that has seen with increasing use over the past few days. It depicts the LGBTQ+ Pride flag, overlayed with the Trans Pride Flag cut into a circle. Atop that is a fist, reminiscent of the Black Power movement, that contains Black and brown stripes.
