Takano's proposals since re-election are unlikely to see success in the GOP-led House, though he remains undaunted. Most recently, Takano, who sits on two House committees -- Veterans' Affairs, and Education and the Workforce -- has co-sponsored a GI Bill Fairness Act, chastised Rand Paul over internment camp comments, and literally taken a red pen (he was a teacher for two decades) to a GOP immigration reform protest letter, giving it an F.
