Kris Jenner Is a Comedy Icon in ‘Thank U, Next’ Bloopers

I thought I was ready to say "thank u, next" to "thank u, next" after the New Year, because all Ariana Grande content seems to have reached its true peak, and that song in particular has literally been played millions of times. It's topped Billboard's Hot 100 for five weeks and earned "93.8 million clicks" in its debut week, according to Nielsen Music, earning Grande the "largest streaming week for a song by a woman."

All of that's to say: Congratulations on all of the success, but it's 2019 now! And honestly, I really didn't need to see Grande in Elle Woods or Regina George drag again, or hear Kris Jenner say, "thank u, next bitch" for the hundredth (or hundred-millionth) time.

But late Thursday night, Grande released bloopers and a deleted scene from her earth shattering, record-breaking music video and suddenly, I'm a My Little Pony again! (Editor's Note: This is what I choose to call Ariana stans because the current name, Arianators, is not sufficient, and her ponytail is iconic).

The video starts off with a deleted scene straight from Legally Blonde: Grande and Jennifer Coolidge pull up to a trailer to rescue Coolidge's dog from her ex. Rather than the iconic line, "I'm taking the dog, dumbass," Coolidge instead says that she's, "taking the dog...thank u, next!" Did Tina Fey write this?

But the real treat of the video is the bloopers, in which genius-level improv legend Kris Jenner gets to shine, ad libbing lines in-character as Grand's overbearing Mean Girls mom. Has Jenner been taking lessons at Second City, the Groundlings, and Upright Citizens Brigade? That's unclear, but what is clear is that she needs to host Saturday Night Live immediately. Or get her own sitcom, since Keeping Up with the Kardashians is more of a soap lately. Either way, this is a precious resource we are wasting, people! "When I was raising Ariana," says Jenner, "I always told her that if a guy ever fucks with her, she should just say, 'thank u, next,' and if she ever had sex without a condom, she would get chlamydia and die."
