Sarah Paulson Hosts End of World Lottery in AHS: Apocalypse Teaser
It's a chilling first look at Paulson's new character, Venable.
Sarah Paulson is giving us chills in the new teaser for American Horror Story: Apocalypse. Although we've all seen the reunion photo of her as Cordelia with the rest of the coven, and we know she'll also be reviving her season one character, Billie Dean, this appears to be her new role, Venable.
In the 27 second clip, Paulson as Venable enters in a very Victorian, evil stepmother ensemble, complete with a cane. She approaches a golden raffle drum, turning the crank. Then she addresses the fans with a very chilling opportunity.

"Now is your chance to be one of the few remaining," she says. "This is your chance to survive. We'll find you soon."
The teaser ends with a URL, thebeginningisnear.tv, a play on the doomsday mantra, "the end is near." It makes sense, given a recent statement from executive producer Alexis Martin Woodall at the show's TCA panel, "The story begins with the end of the world, and then our world begins."
