Trump Calls Madonna ‘Disgusting,’ But He Lied About Her Wanting Him 30 Years Ago

How desperate can one man be?

Is there anyone with more potential to have a closet full of embarrassing skeletons than Donald Trump? After seeing the way he handles criticism (or doesn't), it's obvious that Trump's coping mechanisms of lashing out and being coddles aren't new behavior.

In a recent interview with Fox News' Sean Hannity, Trump reacted to Madonna's incendiary speech at the Women's March on Washington, where she said she "thought an awful lot about blowing up the White House, but I know that this won't change anything."

"Honestly, she's disgusting," Trump said. "I think she hurt herself very badly. I think she hurt the whole cause. I thought her, and a couple of others. But I thought she was in particular - I thought what she said was disgraceful to our country."

But thanks to some digging from The Washtington Postand The Daily Beast, we know that Trump hasn't always felt so negatively about Madonna. In fact, he once tried to plant a story in the press about pursuing the pop star during her most iconic time.

Though it seems Madonna has never held Trump in very high regard, when Trump was ready to end his relationship with Marla Maples in the early '90s, he pretended to be his own publicist when speaking to a reporter from People and fabricated a story about how Madonna used to call him all the time.
