Jim Parsons shares a selfie taken on stage during his new Broadway show, An Act of God
What happens when God takes a selfie? Well, the results look remarkably similar to the many photos that us sinful, Earth-bound folks take everyday.
As the Almighty in the Broadway show An Act of God, Jim Parsons snaps a selfie on stage --something He'll do every night (except Sundays, because rest) between now and August 2.
Here, Parsons shares a recent snap taken during a preview performance.
Flanking both sides are his two angels, Gabriel and Michael (played by Tim Kazurinsky and Christopher Fitzgerald), who join God on stage for a hilarious sermon about the current state of affairs, tackling such burning topics as politics, Hollywood, and Bruce Jenner.
Of course, this God as Parsons in his human form is a master in sarcasm, and gets often distracted. The selfie happens when He finds himself in possession of an audience member's phone, and enjoys a moment of self-indulgence.
So be warned. Should your phone ring during a performance, you may find yourself with a selfie from God--I mean, Parsons--himself.
An Act of God, directed by Joe Mantello, runs for a limited engagement at Studio 54 in New York City from May 28 to August 2.
