Brownstien was the officiant, Poehler provided musical accompaniment at the ceremony.

At a signing for her new book, Hunger Makes Me a Modern Girl: A Memoir, Carrie Brownstein officiated a lesbian wedding between two fans.

Kendall Oshiro, 23, and Genevieve Hernandez, 25, were married by the Sleater-Kinney musician at the Pasadena signing yesterday. The couple had heard that Brownstein had been recently ordained, and the Portlandia star described the request as "practice" for another wedding she's officiating in a few weeks.

Parks And Recreation star and Yes Please author Amy Poehler, who was interviewing Brownstein at the signing, provided music for the ceremony, playing "Greensleeves" on the piano.

"In the way that we always root for ourselves, in the way that we root for love to always win out over despair, for hope to win out over fear, all of us here are rooting for you" said Brownstein in an impromptu speech."With the power vested in me by the state of California, I now pronounce you married."
